He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Fossieck and Muriel Fossieck (Nelson); his brother-in-law Leon Scroggins Sr.; and his nephew Leon Scroggins Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Valentyna Fossieck of Granite City, IL; his stepchildren, Nikita Shevchuk (Abigail) of Festus, MO and Anna Kovalev (Denis) of Unionville, CT; his sister Beverley Scroggins of Glen Carbon, IL; his grandchildren, Marcus, Murphy, Genevieve Shevchuk and Alice Kovalev; his nephew Morgan Scroggins (Melissa); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Andrew Scroggins, Eleonore Scroggins, Zoe Scroggins, Leighann Swanson, Leon Scroggins III and Joseph Scroggins. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First United Presbyterian Church (2160 Delmar Ave, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
