He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Charles Cox and Mary Cox; his daughter Jennifer Ward; his grandson Xander Cox; his brother Ricky Cox; his nephews, Flinten Cox-Thompson and Randy Cox-Thompson; and his niece Brandi.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Gibson Cox; his children, Matthew Ward and Vanessa Bell; his grandchildren, Gabby, George, Matthew, Daysha, Caden, Camryn, Aja, Konnor, Bentley, Kimora, Malayah, Mckenna, Carter and Maverick; his great grandchild Elias; his siblings, Cindy Harsh and Timmy Cox; and his friend Paul Cauwenbergh. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
