With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John L. Watson of Granite City, Illinois, born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on October 10, 2020 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Marie and Ada Marie; his grandson Collins; and his siblings, David Liggett, Jack Watson, Timothy Watson, Sr. and Elizabeth Liggett.

He is survived by : his wife Cathy Wentzel; his children, Tracey, Melissa Collins (Jason) of Glen Carbon, IL, Stacie Watson of Glen Carbon, IL, Amber Benson (Colt) of Brookesmith, TX, Jennifer Watson of Sulphur, LA, April Watson of Granite City, IL and Mark Landry of Granite City, IL; and his brother Roy Watson (Tina) of Hannibal, MO.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
