She is survived by: her children, Beatrice Robinson, Mary Johnson Dones (Wromero), Kimberly Johnson, Michelle Johnson, Gloria Jean Rivers, Jay Bonnet Johnson, Melvin Johnson and Rufus Johnson; and her siblings, Ida Mae Johnson, Willie B. Bertha Johnson, Shirley Ward Johnson, Walter Cherry, Jr. and Thomas Johnson. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
