She was predeceased by : her parents, Leon (Teresa) and Costley; her husband Edward J. Yates; her daughter Sandra Agles; her daughter-in-law Julianne Yates; and her siblings, Leon Costley, Jr. and Mary Ann Costello.

She is survived by : her son Ronald Yates of Granite City, Illinois; her grandchildren, Marsha Timme (Scott), Melissa Chasteen (Steve), Brenda Yates and Scott Bann (Doreen); her great grandchildren, Shayla Jackson (Matt), Ronald Yates (Kassidy), Anthony Timme, Dillan Timme, Stephanie Chasteen, Melanie Chasteen, Chancellor Burgener, Cameron Burgener, Taylor Ludwig (Billy), Lauren Simpson (Peter) and Macy Bann; and her great great grandchildren, Noah, Oliver, Zoey, Elijah and Rory. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
