She was predeceased by : her parents, James Story and Cora Story (Taylor); her spouse Nildo Mecagni; her sons, Vernon and Allan; her siblings, Ernest, Edward, James and Dora; and her foster brother Mike Vaini.

She is survived by : her children, Steve Mecagni (Karen) of Granville and Bonnie Lucas (late Bill) of Ladd; her daughter-in-law Terri Mecagni (Brian Edens) of Granville; her sisters, Kathleen Dorff of Florid, Charlotte Bishop of Princeton, Blanche Naughton of Grand Ridge and Darlene Bernardoni of Oglesby; and her sister-in-law Leona Mecagni of California. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to the Putnam County Community Center or Putnam County Food Pantry.
