It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian Sherrod Mahdee of Grayslake, Illinois, born in Waukegan, Illinois, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 37, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Bettye Cook and Cleveland Nelson; and his uncle Voltaire Hawkins. He is survived by: his parents, DeVon Nelson and Iamullah Mahdee; his aunt Angela Nelson; his uncle Zachary Nelson; and his cousins, Inge, Lena Foxie, John "Billy" Blair, Ashley Nelson, Ariana Crawford, Voltaire Hawkins Jr., Xavion Crawford, Skylar Duncan, Legend Fowler and Zavonn Cooper.
