He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse A. Fortner and Winnie Brown (Sisk); his wife Gladys L. Fortner; his grandson Elisha Blayne Fortner; and his siblings, Eddie Fortner, Mary Adams and Ann Compton.
He is survived by : his children, Angela Fortner of Sharon Grove, Bradley Fortner of Sharon Grove, David S. Fortner of Sharon Grove and Amanda Shumake of Elkton, Kentucky; and his brother Gary Fortner.
