It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Elling (Green Valley, Illinois), who passed away on June 7, 2018, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her brothers, Donald Allen and Dallas Allen; and her nephew Dallas Allen, Jr.. She is survived by : her spouse Ervin John "Whitey" Elling; her children, Michael Paul Elling of Green Valley, Marsha Garlisch of Davenport and Marla Swanson (Tom) of Pekin; her grandchildren, Jenna Marie Garlisch (Sara), Allie Jo Garlisch, Austin Carter Elling, Paige Swanson and Alexandra Swanson; her siblings, Luella Essington and Paul Dean Allen; and her father David Whiteside. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
