He was predeceased by : his parents, Marion J. Rezabek and Virginia M. Abendroth; and his brother Dale Rezabek. He is survived by : his wife Sherry Boothe; his children, Kim Rezabek of Greenville, IL and John Rezabek of Belleville, IL; his siblings, Steve Rezabek (Linda) of Highland, IL, Sue Musick (late Mike) of Staunton, IL, Marie Wheeler (late Ray) of Florissant, MO and Bob Rezabek (Melissa) of Edwardsville, IL; and his sister-in-law Sharon Joyce of Collinsville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
