He was predeceased by: his parents, Heze McCuan and Clara Louise Howell McCuan; and his siblings, Don, Lavern McCuan (Mac), Margaret Ann McLean, Naoi Hargrave and Maxine Parks.
He is survived by: his wife Dawn Mason McCuan; his sons, Daniel McCuan of Harrisburg and David McCuan (Cyauna McCuan) of Johnston City; his granddaughters, Ellieana Marie McCuan and Isla Claire McCuan of Johnston City; his siblings, Randall McCuan of California, Jack Parks of Marion, IL and Delores Smythe of California; and his sister-in-law Grace McCuan of Crestwood, IL. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Colonial Terrace Funeral Home & Crematory (700 4th St, Eldorado, IL 62930). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Dorrisville Baptist Church (1300 S Feazel St, Harrisburg, IL 62946).
Upon retirement, Ron began supporting the Alzheimer's Association in memory of his late father-in-law, Robert Mason.
