With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Steven Alan Furlong of Harrisburg, Illinois, born in Carbondale, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 18, 2024 at the age of 69. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Furlong and Wanda Furlong (Fulkerson); and his granddaughter Selena Hageman. He is survived by: his fiancée Deborah Ellis; his children, Jason Furlong of West Frankfort, Chad Smith (Angi) of North Dakota, Dawn Rambert (William) of Carrier Mills and Luther Furlong (Jessica) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Aaliyah Coleman, Miya Furlong, Jaeden King, Aubrey Furlong, Ashlynn Furlong, Joshua Furlong, Dakota Smith, Mackenzie Jordan, Austin Hageman, Nickole Furlong, Cody Furlong, Hope Martin, Neal Martin, Faye Furlong, Kenneth Martin and Joseph Furlong; his brother Mark Furlong; his nephews, Logan and Chris; and his niece Jamie. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
