He was loved and cherished by many people including : his daughters, Eva Delores Smith (Abbott), Vicki Cochran of Peoria and Karen Anderson (Justin) of Bartonville; his wife Penny Smith (Hackman); his step-children, Tonya Ray (Trevor) of Port Charlotte, Tara Dillard (Derek) of Havana, Illinois., Tammy Danner (Travis) of Havana, Illinois. and Rodney Ash (Shannon) of Havana, Illinois.; and his pet Buddy. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 15th 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 415 W Adams St #6408, Havana, IL 62644.
