It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy J. Donalson (Henry, Illinois), born in Rural, Illinois, who passed away on April 18, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Arthur Roy and Marie Helen Smith (Kuhl); and her former life partner John Turpen. She is survived by : her husband George R. Donaldson; her daughters, Delores "Cricket" Rice (Melvin) of Lacon, Sharon Kilty (Mark) of East Peoria and Debbie Stanbary (late Bill) of Princeton; her daughter-in-law Bonnie Turpen of Henry; her stepchildren, Jerry Donaldson and Connie Gutierrez of Denver, CO; her siblings, Martin Smith, Louise Cordes and Marlene Deffenbaugh; her son John "Jack" Turpen; and her siblings, Anna (Bessie Johnson), Leland, Arthur and Clarence (Roy Smith). She is also survived by twenty one grandchildren, forty two great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Henry United Methodist Church Missions, or to the Thursday Morning Prayer Group.
