He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard M. Finfgeld and Mary Kilgore Finfgeld; his former wife Phyllis Pierce; his wife Florence E. McCall Petersen Dalrymple; his daughters, Brenda Turner (Rod) of Johnston and Deborah Connett (Dave) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Lauren Chen (Steve) and Erin Turner; his stepdaughters, Christie Maas (Jeff) of Lacon, Annette Lionberger (John) of Lacon and Mary Strong of Elburn, Illinois.; his stepgrandchildren, Ailsa Lionberger, Tanner, Matthew Strong, Jeremy Gonigam and Cherie Spinosa (Vince); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Annelise Spinosa of Downers Grove, Illinois.; and his sisters, Peg Schneider of Henry, Marge Hunt (John) of Henry and Jean Fulks of Henry.
He was all set to livestream the DePauw baseball season, until it was shut down by COVID-19.
