He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Potts and Beulah Carter Potts; and his siblings, Murvin Forster, Hazel Brown, Earl, Raymond, Elmer Junior and Charlie Potts.
He is survived by: his wife Norma J. Lindsay Potts; his children, Kathy Pennell (Ernie) and James Burtis Potts of Herod, IL.; his granddaughters, Brandi Pennell, Amanda Morton (Adam) and Katie Pennell (John Benton); his great grandchildren, Helen and George Benton-Pennell; and his sisters, Nola Goolsby and Wanda Thompson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
