He was predeceased by: his parents, William Pink and Rudell Throgmorton (Smith); and his siblings, Emagene Rye, Caroline Brown and John Cline "J. C.".

He is survived by: his siblings, Ed Throgmorton (Dorris) of Herrin, Donald Wayne Throgmorton and Leona Tetford of Herrin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
