He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Darlene "Dolly"; his children, Judy Cole (Paul) and Richard Nast; his stepson Alan Howard; his grandchildren, Andrew, Jason, Dana Nast, Ben, David Cole, Bari and Michelle Howard; his great grandchildren, Talulah, Declan, Nolan Nast, Danielle and Lailee Dacks; his siblings, Ruth Kiesler and Marwin Nast; and his nieces and nephews, Dael and Allan Kiesler.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Illinois College of Optometry or North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, Highland Park, IL.
