He was predeceased by: his parents, James Porter and Emma Porter (Horn); his children, Nancy Porter and Jim Porter; his grandson Jimmy Porter; and his siblings, Wilbert Porter, Russel Porter, Beulah Jarrett and Gertrude Vincent.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Porter of Highland; his children, Pat (Dan Kessel) of Edwardsville, Deb (Greg Adamick) of Highland, Barb (Rob Schwarz) of Highland and William Porter (Linda) of Breese; his sisters, Alice Davison of Vandalia, Helen Bolyard of Brownstown and Shirley Bean of Decatur; and his grandchildren, John Kessel (Brandy), Jennifer Wellen (Chad), Kyle Schwarz, Tyler Porter, Jessie Reding (Chad), Mary Sawyer (Pete), Rebecca Leach (Steve), Anita Kunz (Tyler), Bobbie Adamick, Billie Adamick, Casey Adamick, Wesley Adamick, Katie Hartsook (Jesse) and Jon Porter. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
