He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hanauer and Lora Hanauer; and his sibling Laveta Pinkston Hanauer (Doris Purvis Hanauer). He is survived by: his wife Frances Porter Hanauer; his daughter Nancy Murtaugh (Chris); his stepdaughter Sandy Hand (Tim); his grandchildren, Jason Murtaugh, Colin Murtaugh (Ashley) and Alison M. LaFortune (Sean); and his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Porter (Kristen), Michelle McConnell (Gene) and Zac Hand (Tracy). He is also survived by ten great- grandchildren.
