He was predeceased by: his father Homer L. Hefley. He is survived by: his mother Betty Hefley (Durbin); his siblings, Bill Hefley (Kay) of Hillsboro, Larry Hefley (Janice) of Hillsboro, Steve Hefley (Lisa) of Hillsboro and Sherry Loskot (Gary) of Irving; and his siblings' children, Chris Dobson, Nick Hefley, Tyler, Kaitlynn and Ella Loskot.
