With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wanda Compton of Hillsboro, Illinois, born in Coffeen, Illinois, who passed away on August 26, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Carlock and Mary Carlock (Criner); her husband Richard E. Compton; her son Ronald Compton; her great grandchild Christopher Dobson; and her sister Beulah Castleman.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Compton (Ida) of Hillsboro, IL, Kay Hefley (Bill) of Hillsboro, IL and Barbara Mack (Jim) of Barnhart, MO; her grandchildren, Ruby Hammarstedt, Ron Compton (Carmen Blythe), Chris Dobson, Brandy Rae Compton, Shannon Luedike (Chris) and Kyle Mack (Abi); and her sisters, Nelda Adkisson of Donnellson, IL, Jewel White of Edwardsville, IL and Melba Olson of Florida. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.
