He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Smith and Lilias Smith (Hart); his wife Donna Jean; his granddaughter Dawn Marie Vroman; and his siblings, Ivry, Dale Smith and Kay Elaine Parsons.
He is survived by: his children, Marvin Smith (Cindy), Clayton Smith (Susan), Port Byron, Pamela Vroman, Lois Coleman and Tina Fulton (Michael); and his sisters, Beverly Baker of Clifton, TX, Darlene Koch (Virgil), Barbara Gerdes and Bernice Wainwright (Bill). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hillsdale American Legion, Hillsdale Fire Department, or a charity of choice.
