She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolf Amundson and Margaret Amundson. She is survived by: her brother Robert; her husband Tawfik F. Girgis; her children, Margaret Umsted (Eric), Robert Girgis (Laura) and John Girgis (Michele); her grandchildren, JT Sandstedt (Allie), Alyssa Girgis, Ali Phillip (Brent), Robert Girgis, Emily Girgis, Ellie Girgis, Madeleine Girgis, Mimi Girgis, Ashley Stollberg (Brad), Kevin Umsted and Cara Foster (Aaron); and her great grandchildren, Ezekiel Tawfik Phillip, James Ben, Madeline Stollberg and Eloise Foster.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Church of Oak Brook or Alzheimer's Association.
