He is survived by : his wife Susan; his children, Courtney Bissell (Justin), James Melchin (Jennifer) and Ryan Melchin (Margaret Oltman); his siblings, Linda Faraci (Peter), George Melchin (Marcia), Connie Frigo (Greg) and Gary Melchin (Pam); and his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madeline Bissell, Bennett, Charlotte, Wesley Melchin, Theodore Oltman and Grace Melchin.
