He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. McLoughlin and Loretta J. McCarthy (McCarthy); his great-nephew Nicholas Lovett; and his brother-in-law Casey Persak. He is survived by: his siblings, Burian Persak, Marianne Lovett, Kathleen Smith (Robert), Dennis McLoughlin (Vanice) and John McLoughlin (Elizabeth). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be directed to the St. Mary's St. Vincent de Paul Society.
