She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Edward and Mary Arter (Kadell); her husband Donald "Don" Vanausdoll; her son Marlon Vanausdoll; her grandchildren, Ryan, Kara and Kyle Vanausdoll; her sister Phyllis; and her brother-in-law Gerald Heitzig.
She is survived by: her sons, Mike (Kim Vanausdoll), Marty (Shelley Vanausdoll) and Mark (Bev Vanausdoll); her daughter-in-law Sheri Vanausdoll of Jerseyville; her grandchildren, Jared Vanausdoll (Chelsea) of Tuscola, Bradley Vanausdoll (Corrine) of Arthur, Shawn Vanausdoll (Jessica) of Arthur, Jamie Williams (John) of Kane, Brooke Vanausdoll (Zach Nance) of Carlinville, Marissa Griffith (Dylan) of Jerseyville, Chris Vanausdoll (Ashley) of Jerseyville, Josh Vanausdoll (Katie) of Jerseyville, Andrew Vanausdoll (Michael LaVanier) of St. Charles, Jason Vanausdoll of Jerseyville, Leigh Ann Vanausdoll (Kevin Margeson) of Springfield and Craig Vanausdoll (Stephanie) of Jerseyville; her sister-in-law Marlene Schmidt of Wabasha, Minnesota; and her sibling's children, Kim Fitzgibbons (Mike) of Jerseyville, Jim Heitzig of Jerseyville, Kevin Heitzig (Linda) of Jerseyville and Jane Amburg (Chuck) of Jerseyville. She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren, extended family members, friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home (1308 IL-109, Jerseyville, IL 62052). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (506 S State St, Jerseyville, IL 62052). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at the St. Francis Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. Francis/Holy Ghost Catholic School, in honor of Joan's enduring faith and love for her parish community.
