Colena Williams Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Colena Williams of Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on August 13, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Charles Williams; her children, Mary Ann Beavers (Robert, Jr.), Charles Williams, Arthur Lee Williams and Calvin Ronald Williams, Sr.; her grandchildren, Larice Cornelius, Larry Cornelius, Jr. and Calvin Ronald Williams, Jr.; her great grandchild Campbell; her sisters, Lillie Ellis Jones and Annabelle Ellis Bass (late Frank, Sr.); and her children, Willie C. Ellis, Tecola, Glinda Lynn Cornelius (late Larry), Denise Marie Williams, Brenda Kay Williams (Bruce Logan), Anita Karen Williams (Freddie Banks) and Everlena Brown (late Morris).

She is survived by: her aunt Mary Jones (Ingram).

She would go to many Joliet grocery stores and asked for donations to feed the hungry and started the weekly church soup kitchen.
