She was predeceased by : her parents, Michael Czerkies and Mary Czerkies; and her siblings, Peter Czerkies, Joseph Czerkies, Ed Czerkies, Sofie Bajt and Helen Bolek.

She is survived by : her husband George L. Schmidt; her children, Debby Wise (Denny) of Washington, Cindy Peden (C. Greg) of Indiana, Bob Schmidt of Illinois and Mark Schmidt (Lisa Shellenberger) of California; her grandchildren, Keith Peden, Melissa Henckel (Andrew), Kim Danciu (Felix), Kristin Schmidt, Matthew Schmidt, Michael Schmidt and Nicholas Schmidt; her great grandchildren, Julian, Alex, Reven, Taryn, Inara and Bella; and her sister Jenny Koerner. She is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and friends.

Face masks are required, social distancing and capacity restrictions will be observed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arbor Day Foundation, or plant a tree in her honor.
