It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Deacon Raymond J. Van Wassenhove (Kewanee, Illinois), who passed away on March 5, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Wassenhove and Marie Van Wassenhove (Vereecke); and his stepmother Madeline. He is survived by: his wife Sally Graham; his children, Brian Van Wassenhove of Kewanee, Marie Olynciw (Mike) of Floral Park, NY, Mary Kay Daley (Mike) of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Joseph Van Wassenhove (Caren) of Poughkeepsie, NY, Carrie Shelby (Marty) of Largo, FL, Elizabeth Wolf (Eric) of Kewanee and Paul Van Wassenhove (Maureen) of Kewanee; his sister Mary Anne Sullivan of Kewanee; and his grandchildren, Luke, Elodie, Graham, Gerard, Jenny, Peter, Nicholas, Leanna, August, Owen, Dylan, Kevin and Gregory. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to Saint John Paul II Parish or to the Knights of Columbus.
