He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Fortman and Gertrude Fortman (Wannenmacher); his wife Glenda Pyle; his son Shawn; and his siblings, Shirley Winders and John "Jack" Fortman.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey (Michele) and Stephanie Parsons (Dennis) of Park Forest, IL; and his grandchildren, Zachary, Colin Parsons, Claire and Olivia Fortman.
