He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin E. Hegwood and Melva D. Hegwood (Tessier); his sister Ina Gilland; and his former wife Susan K. Byers. He is survived by: his daughters, Tracy Herrick (Ryan) of Portland, ME, Rebecca "Becky" Hegwood (Scott Peed) of Kewanee and Patricia "Patty" Giesenhagen (Ben Cooper) of Kewanee; his stepsons, Thad Elgin of Kewanee, Justin "Bubba" Elgin of Kewanee and Jarrett Elgin of Galva; his sisters, Mary Lester of Kewanee and Peggy Hegwood of Kewanee; his grandchildren, Tyler, Emma, Victoria (Tyler), Shayla, Elliana, Elizabeth, Justice, Timothy, Alivia, Zoey, Colin, Caylee, Bailey and Ethan; and his great grandchild Landon.
The funeral home will maintain compliance with COVID regulations and requires that all guests wear a mask for the safety of all those attending.
