He was predeceased by: his former wife Ada Litton; his wife Mildred Greiert; and his brothers, Donald Karau, Sr., Dean Karau and Ralph Karau.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathleen Butler (Gordon); his granddaughters, Kelsey Moore (Ben) and Lindsay Dentel (Nick); his great grandchildren, Tucker, Reagan, Sawyer Moore, Eden, Anna and Salem Dentel; his stepchildren, Paul Greiert (Barbara) and Linda Almanza (Al); his grandchildren, Kyle Greiert (Heather), Lara Driscoll (Connor) and Pamela Savich (Paul); and his great grandchildren, Ben and Alex Savich.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter's Church Shepherd's Fund, 119 S. Grove St., Kewanee, IL 61443 or your local humane society.
