It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lowell Carpenter of Kewanee, Illinois, born in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, who passed away on September 23, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Carpenter and Edna Carpenter (Higgens-Culton); his siblings, James, Ray and Carol Lamb; and his brother-in-law Alfred Ballanger.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Werderman (John) of Kewanee, David Carpenter (Sherry) of Wilmington, OH, Roy Carpenter (Julie) of Kewanee and Linda Yelm (Nick) of Galva; his siblings, Wayne Carpenter (Debbie) of Kentucky, Jeff Carpenter (Teresa) of Kentucky, Kenny Carpenter (Carol) of Kentucky, Ralph Carpenter (Shirley) of Kentucky, Alfred Carpenter (Audrey) of Kentucky, Billy Carpenter of Kentucky, Mary Ballanger of Kentucky and Janet Carpenter of Kentucky; and his siblings-in-law, JT Lamb and Patty Carpenter. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
The funeral home will maintain compliance with COVID regulations and requires that all guests wear a mask for the safety of all those attending.
