He was predeceased by: his parents, John Coven and Gertrude Coven (Gerhold); and his siblings, Marjorie Williams York, Bruce, Charles, Warren and Donald.
He is survived by: his wife Elva Werkheiser; his children, Steven Coven (Darlene Leonardis) of Princeton, Sandra Fleming of Kewanee and Barbara Bishop (Scott) of East Peoria; his granddaughters, Alison Fleming of Davenport, IA, Amber VanDeSampel of Kewanee, Emily Tran (Johnny) of Highlands, TX and Rachel Pleasant of Morton; and his great grandchildren, Abigail and Scott VanDeSampel.
