With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Esther Elmore of Knoxville, Illinois, born in Beardstown, Illinois, who passed away on April 18, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her spouse Jesse Elmore. She is survived by : her daughter Helen Louise Baer (Wheeler); her former life partner Charles Bankes; her children, Charles "Chuck" Bankes (Lisa) of Galesburg, Amy Thurow (Warren) of Utica, Jan Anderson (Doug) of Knoxville and Jon Elmore of Abingdon; her grandchildren, Rhiannon Bankes-Johnson (Tom) of Dacula, Melissa Bankes (Daniel) of Cary, Maggie Thurow of Lisle, Tim Thurow (Diana) of Henry, Laura Thurow of Utica, Chelsea Bankes of Davenport, Evan Anderson of Galesburg, Dylan Anderson of Knoxville and Jaylynn Elmore of Altona; her great grandchildren, Kali Campbell of Dacula and Alexander Thurow of Henry; her stepgrandchildren, Seann Anderson of Galesburg and Nathan Anderson (Haley) of Aledo; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Tannen, Parker, Jordi of Aledo and Maddox Anderson of Abingdon; and her siblings, Ted Baer (Marilyn) of Rushville, Jim Baer of Rushville, Jack Baer (Linda) of Godfrey, Tom Baer of Godfrey, Pat Kramer of Godfrey, Judy DeWitt of Beardstown, Nancy Magness (Stan) of Quincy, Phil Baer, Bill Baer, Sis Mallicoat and Carolyn Spillers.
