It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry D. Fones of Knoxville, Illinois, who passed away on July 12, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Larry D. Fones to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick D. Fones and Dorothy J. Fones (Larson); and his brother Joseph Gabriel. He is survived by: his wife Lourdes Angela Rodriguez; his children, Amy Fones of Oquawka, Jessica Bravender (Jason) of Whitleyville, Tennessee and Frederick Fones of Gilson, Illinois; his brothers, Danny Gabriel (Vicky) of Oneida and Donnie Gabriel (Linda) of Abingdon, Illinois; his grandchildren, Lacie Hengl, Jonathon Hengl, Skyler Orozco, Sierra Orozco, Daniel Bravender and Dalton Bravender; and also Cindy Fox (Mike) of Andover, Illinois.. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory (1849 N Seminary St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 6:15 PM at the same location.
