He was predeceased by: his parents, Guillermina Fernandez and Mariano Fernandez; and his brothers, Mario and Juan Fernandez. He is survived by: his wife Maria Mirtala Fernandez; his children, Cindy Alanis (Javier) and Mario Fernandez (Shirley); his stepdaughter Silvia Albanes; his grandchildren, Marcos, Alexis Alanis, Mia, Ellie Fernandez and Evan Markowski; his siblings, Carlos, Ana, Sheny, Estella, Olga and Patty Fernandez; and his siblings' children, Dina Guzman, Claudia Balucating (Alex), Lorena Balucating (Alain), Sheila Khan (Arshad), Omar Curruchiche, Sergio Diaz (Cathy), Sandra Escobar (Nestor), Sheny (Estuardo), Helen Monroy (Marvin), Odette Alvarez (Paul), Aldo (Darci), Jason Argueta, Ashley Delgado (Eric), Monica (Craig), Evelyn, Tito Escobar, Dani Escobar, Susanne, Ariel, Mariano, Andy Gomez and Lourdes Fernandez.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davenport Family Funeral Homes and Crematory (941 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory (941 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047).
