He was predeceased by: his parents, George and Mildred. He is survived by: his children, Kim (Gil), Ryan (Heather), Kristy (Rob) and Alison (Jeff); his grandchildren, Giorgio (Kim), Dimitri, Niko, Mason, Bobby, Emerson, Colton, Adley and Carter; his sister Jeanne; and his wife Mary Rose Merkel.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Davenport Family Funeral Home (941 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
