We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Kathryn C. Schweda (Lake Zurich, Illinois), born in New Castle, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Kathryn leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her son Matthew. She is survived by: her husband John P. Schweda; her children, Michael Ventrone (Jill) and Melissa Ventrone (Todd Shaffer); her stepdaughter Nicole Bognetti; and her grandchildren, Jenna and Maddie Ventrone.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Services (415 S Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ahlgrim's Funeral Home (415 S Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047). A burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Women's Alzheimer's Research Initiative (https://www.alz.org).
