It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Minerva Muniz (Lake Zurich, Illinois), born in Raymondville, Texas, who passed away on May 29, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ignacio Mendez and Francisca Solis Mendez; and her sisters, Elena Longoria, Anita Navejar, Tina Ambriz and Maria Cisneros.
She is survived by: her husband Oscar Muniz; her children, Melinda Perry (Lyle) and Oscar Muniz, Jr. (Sharon); her grandchildren, Rachel, Abel, Adrian, Jacob, Ethan and Eva; her great grandchildren, Anabella, Aiden and Lyla; and her brother Ignacio Mendez (Clara). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
