He was predeceased by: his sisters, Jackie and Janice. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Nielsen; his children, David Nielsen (Stacy Carlsen-Nielsen), Blake Nielsen (Greta) and Christine Majury (Mike); and his grandchildren, Garrett Nielsen, Benjamin Carlsen, Gabrielle Nielsen, Cole Nielsen, Karina Nielsen, Tatum Majury and Braeden Majury.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Davenport Family Funeral Home (941 S Old Rand Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047). A reception will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Davenport Family Funeral Home (149 W Main St, Barrington, IL 60010).
