She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, James Hamby and Frances Hamby (Petrucci); her husband Anthony Patti; her son Anthony Patti, Jr. (Sarah); her grandchildren, Oliver and Arya; and her brothers, Jim Hamby (Mary Kay) and Ken Hamby (Elizabeth).

In lieu of flowers, Barbara's family suggests donations in her name to American Cancer Society, 1801 S. Meyers Road Ste 100, Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to help fight childhood cancer.
