He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gordon Payne and Julia Dixine Payne (Tracy); his brothers, Edgar, Walter "Snaz" and Jimmy Payne; his son Hank O. Payne; his sister Beverly Kiger (Donald); his wife Jeanene Payne of Lexington; his children, Angie Nagel (Thomas Baumann) of Munich, Germany, Bree Powers (Kevin), Sam Payne, Skye Wilken (Bryan), Blair Abraham (Ryan), Whitney Clark (Bryan) and Lincoln; his daughter-in-law Rose Payne; his grandchildren, Mary Hinthorne, Page, Lucas Powers, Kennedy, Ty Abraham, Julia Dixine Wilken, Brooklyn, Brynn and Benny-Peely Clark; his grandfather Peewee; and his grandchild Peely. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hank O. Payne Scholarship Foundation or the Lexington American Legion Post 291.
