Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Areti leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her husband Theodore George Stamayannos. She is survived by: her sons, Nektarios Theodore Stamayannos (Maxima) and George Theodore Stamoyannos (Tina); her grandchildren, Areti Nicolette Stamayannos, Ana Areti Jacobsen (Eric), Theodore George Stamoyannos (Emilie) and Alan Robert N; and her great grandchild Evanthia Stamoyannos.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (1400 O'Plaine Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at the St. John Chrysostomos Monastery Cemetery (4600 93rd St, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
