He was predeceased by: his father Karl W. "Fig" Newton; and his daughter Ashley Newton. He is survived by: his mother Donna Newton (Barker); his son Evan Newton (Summer); his grandchildren, Julian Brumfield, Jaxon Fulk, Olivia Newton and Kathryn Newton; his brothers, Karl W. Newton Jr. (Sherry), Gene Newton (Renee) and Quent Newton (Sherri); his siblings' children, Will Newton, Ari Pence, Lily Newton, Kenneth Newton and Lucas Newton; and his pet Bella. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to Lincoln Christian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
