We are sad to announce that on September 17, 2021, at the age of 90, Eugene Wonders of Long Point, Illinois, born in Streator, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Wonders and Bessie Wonders (Kennedy); his wife Mary Sue; and his siblings, Kenneth Wonders (Ronelva), Ruth Mathis (Robert) and Helen Fulkerson (Orville).
He is survived by : his children, Rebecca Trainor (Alan) and Stephen Wonders (Mary); his grandchildren, Meaghan Dean (Matt), Heather Boggio (Frank), Tarah Bennett (Brian), Josh Wonders, Angela Wonders and Miranda Nowocin; his great grandchildren, Garretson, Shaw Dean, Annabell, Silvia Boggio, Keegan Roth, Alexa Bennet and Collin Wonders; and his close friends, Charlotte Wilhelm, Pat Durdan (Steve), Dean Wilhelm (Nancy Vogel) and Penny Wilhelm. He is also survived by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12noon at the church with social distancing being followed and mask being worn.
Memorials may be made to either the Long Point American Legion, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Foundation or a charity of the donors choice.
