He was predeceased by : his parents, Jerome Harrell and Natalie Harrell (Moore); his wife Betty Lou Clark; his brother Eugene Harrell; his children, Jon Lance Harrell and Cathy Ann Stewart; his grandson Spencer Troy Harrell; and his son-in-law Brent Burgess.

He is survived by : his children, Tod Harrell (Bernadine) of Evansville, Indiana, Xon Harrell (Pat) of Xenia, Debra Barlow (Anthony) of Merrillville, Indiana, Jeb Harrell and Rebekah Burgess (late Brent); his son-in-law Terry Stewart of Ingraham; and his grandchildren, Rhea Huddlestun, Patrick Harrell, Diana Matlock, Tiffany Akers, Matthew Harrell, Corey Stewart, Elizabeth Stewart, Olivia Coons, Michael Barlow, Dexter Burgess and Deandra Burgess. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louisville Baptist Church.
