We are sad to announce that on October 7, 2021, at the age of 87, Wanda Gerber of Louisville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her mothers, Pearl Hinkle and Opal Hinkle; her siblings, Norma Jane Hinkle, Tom, Norman, Jerry and Cecil Hinkle; her grandchildren, Barry Jones, Kevin Johnson and Cindy Jones; her son-in-law David Modlin; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth and Kay Hinkle.

She is survived by : her former life partner Jerry Eckel; her husband Lester Gerber; her children, Debra Modlin of Louisville, Patricia Newby (John) of Flora and Richard Eckel (Brenda) of Xenia; her grandchildren, Kimberly Haun (Kevin), Jeremy Clark (Lisa), Matthew Modlin (RaeAnne), Deah Jones (Jody Ray), Johnny Newby (Brandii), Jasmine Charlton (Jeffrey Kastl), Tai Landreth (Justin) and Bri Rodgers (Curtis); and her brother Frank Hinkle (Marge) of Louisville.

Due to health concerns related to COVID-19, it is recommended that you please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 80 and the Wabash Baptist Church.
