He was predeceased by: his father-in-law K. C. Chenoweth; and his brother-in-law Randy Litchfield. He is survived by: his children, Brandon John (Sydney) of Macomb and Hayley Dobson (Mike) of Seaford; his grandchildren, Emily Dobson, Mazie John, Gabriel John, Maddox Dobson and Tatym Dobson; his parents, Gene John and Marge John of Macomb; his sisters, Terri Burnham (Jim) of Macomb and Julie Aten (Troy) of Colchester; his sister-in-law Terra Litchfield of Macomb; his niece Kristen Terry (Scott) of Macomb; his nephews, Derek Litchfield (Lisa) of Macomb and Hunter Aten of Brooklyn; his mother-in-law Juanita Huff of Macomb; and his pet Scout. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to St. Paul's School or Ducks Unlimited.
